It is unfortunate that we need to have organizations such as the Gridiron Greats. The players that came before us built this game to the level that afforded me and all players that played after 1993 to be financially secure at a young age.

We owe it to them to make sure that changes are made in the system so the men that founded this great game are given what they have earned during their days as players and are not made to beg for what they are rightfully owed. Until we make these changes the Gridiron Greats and the other organizations that support former players are critical to helping these proud men work thru any adversity that they are facing in their lives.

Football is a collision sport and many of the issues that the players are facing could not have been anticipated when they retired. There is still much that we do not know. For many former players Gridiron Greats has been a Godsend. We must continue to support this organization.
