Gridiron greats! Wow, what a great opportunity, this is a very special event. One that brings people together for a purpose that will benefit so many great people. I am so excited about the future. My excitement centers around the people that have the power to effect change. I have the utmost amount of confidence in Rodger Goodell, Gene Upshaw, Mike Ditka, and many others who are genuinely concern about people. Listen, everyone has there own constituents, Mr. Goodell, the owners, and believe it or not the players, Gene Upshaw, the players, past, present, and future and Mike Ditka and the Gridiron Greats, the retired players. The beauty of it all is that everyone wants a better NFL for everyone. My thoughts to everyone are the following; bickering, quarreling, and backing each other into corners are not effective measures to effect change. Trust, coupled with high expectations will render the results that will make even our paying fans smile.

For me its a great adventure, and I would encourage everyone even the skeptics to trust the integrety of the likes of Rodger Goodell, Gene Upshaw, Mike Ditka and countless others who have a vested interest in seeing positive change for everyone. And believe me, there are owners like Al Davis of the Okland Raiders, The Rooney's,  and the late Georgia Frontiere that have a sense of decency and want to have as  part of their legacy the fact that they left the NFL better than it was when they first began.

Stay tuned, I know that I will.

    Jackie,

I am proud of what this organization is doing for these guys. There are lots of opportunities for former players to raise money to help. There are many people like me who'd love to help. Perhaps you could enhance your fund raising by adding in  sales of smaller autographed items like photos, mini helmets, etc. A simple e-commerce site could be built to facilitate the sale of such items.

    Just a thought.

    GOod luck with!
