I would like to start getting donations for Gridiron Greats asap. I will be attending a massive Super Bowl Party at my local sports bar and would like to help out in any way.  In fact, my girlfriend and I would like to make this one of our priority charities. Please let me know how we can help out in raising donations for this worthy cause. My e-mail is jmlcg@optonline.net

I just heard Kyle on the "Scott and BR Show" on XX Sports Radio AM-1090 in San Diego - and it was a very good spot on the Gridiron Greats dilemma.  I am shocked that the NFL Players Union does not step up or that the NFL management wouldn't step in and do what is right.  I have treated many NFL players and while the top tier players make very good money - yet even with the "Big Contracts" they are only 1-year contracts, so if a player is injured, career and future contracts go away.  No more money.  So only the "signing bonus" are the guaranteed monies.  So, this is the predicament the players are in.  No thanks to the Union...looking out for "who's" best interest.  I have spoken to Agents who no longer represent NFL players and will only represent Major League Baseball players because they have guaranteed contracts.   It is up to the agent to set the player up properly so they have a future after football.  That is too bad, that the Union or the NFL cannot support the players that made the game...that came before them.  It would demonstrate incredible good will to the Public if the NFL Owners would simply step in and set up a Fund for those players that have a demonstrated need.  And, they should not require crazy red-tape to demonstrate that need.  A panel of current and former players could sit on that panel.  Do not forget your history.  It means too much.

Congratulations to Kyle Turley, on his retirement and his history at SDSU and the NFL.  We appreciated his passion in his play.

Thanks to Scott & Billy Ray for allowing Kyle to state his case.

Kyle was on the "Mike and the Mad Dog Show" on Sports Radio 660 WFAN in NY.  His passion for what he is fighting for equates the passion he had on the field. So many of the NFL Players give up their bodies each week and down the road inevitably face some sort of disability.   Keep fighting for whats right Kyle!  We all support you.
